Personal Testimony

Hello there! I'm Ken, you've probably read my brief story on the home page about this website. Now we'll dive into more detail.
Growing up with my younger brother was not what I expected. I dreamed of having a best friend to share games and sports with, but he never wanted to play. His world was different, focused on lining up toys or watching the same cartoon clips, captivated by their patterns and sounds. At first, it felt like a wall between us, and I struggled with loneliness and confusion about how to connect.

I had to let go of my expectations. Instead of pulling him into my world, I stepped into his. I sat beside him and learned the quiet rules of his play. I saw his face light up at certain moments. It was a slow process, and it is still challenging. His need for routine or his reactions to a loud, overwhelming world can be difficult for our family. But my frustration is now mixed with understanding.

He taught me a new kind of patience. Connection does not always need words or shared games. It can be found in quiet companionship and in protecting someone's peace. He showed me how to see beauty in details and deep focus. While our childhood did not have the sports or games I once wanted, it built something stronger. Growing up with him reshaped my idea of love. It means accepting someone completely, exactly as they are.
